I know three posts in one day is extreme, but I am excited, and I have no one at home to talk to, so I'm telling you that Tracing Paradise has just won the 2010 Maine Literary Award for Nonfiction!

Congratulations, Dawn. How incredibly exciting. Well-deserved.

Thank you, Maureen. I'm sure you know how a writer feels on most days: like she's spending her entire life in a hole. So it was a sweet change to get that phone call.

I think Lisa Simpson said it best when she said, "Woohoo! ... I mean: Splendid!"

I really do appreciate your congratulations. They mean a lot; they really do. It has been an honor and a pleasure to write this blog-letter every day, knowing that my correspondent-readers are you.

I am glad they have such good judgment.Tracing Harmony should win all awards available. I can't believe I am only discovering this news today. This is what comes of depression. It is very isolating. xo
