That comparison doesn't quite fit, but I'm too tired to think of a better one, and you get the general idea.

I think I've come to the realization in the last couple of years that point of view is pretty much the make-or-break element when I'm reading. If I like the voice, I don't care if nothing happens at all, and when the teller is dull or cloying or whatever, it doesn't matter how exciting the narrative action is. And when you have someone like Pip telling a tale full of drama, it's just rare fun.Mr. Hillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13238870658008166956noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540771071400993487.post-14542863104128735792010-10-04T09:23:00.283-04:002010-10-04T09:23:00.283-04:00Even, or especially, well-travel paths render up d...Even, or especially, well-travel paths render up delightful, interesting or eerie new information if we are paying attention.Ruthnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540771071400993487.post-72133890554288641692010-10-04T08:56:22.968-04:002010-10-04T08:56:22.968-04:00I think you're right: point of view is an extr...I think you're right: point of view is an extremely important variable.Dawn Potterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07500960150846895633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540771071400993487.post-6493964340682274162010-10-04T08:15:51.708-04:002010-10-04T08:15:51.708-04:00Similar paths, but a different view.Similar paths, but a different view.Scottnoreply@blogger.com
